Budding Crickets Visit Oval to Watch Surrey

On Monday 23rd September, 33 students travelled by public transport to the Oval Cricket Ground in London to watch Surrey County Cricket Club play against Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Oval

For some, it was the first time travelling on the world-renowned London Underground, which proved very exciting. Fortunately the weather held up and it was a great experience for all the students.

Between overs, Nottinghamshire players, who were fielding on the boundary, were kind enough to sign memorabilia for our budding cricketers.

Watching such high level cricket has inspired our students to practise their skills on the playground in their own time, having been allowed to walk around the world-famous cricket pitch at lunch time.

Thank you to Mr Shields and Ms Miele for their support; without them the trip would not have been possible.
