HAO is launching its attendance challenge  from Monday. What is the prize I hear you ask... the most improved year group will have a pizza party on the last day of this half term. Last time, Y10 were the winners. Lets see who comes out on top this time.

Finally, a reminder: The last day of this term is 19/12/2025, and the Academy will close to all students at 12.45pm. Students will be allowed to wear their own clothes, including Christmas jumpers, and we ask all to bring a £1 donation that will go to our local charity.

End of Term Highlights - As we approach the final week of term, our focus is on exploring the next steps for not only our students, but those that could join us next year. Banding day was a success as we welcomed prospective students and their parents - with a mop up this week.

Sixth Form Enrolment: Thursday 20th August

Enrolment Day: Thursday 20 August
Location: Please enter the Academy via the Tintagel Road entrance.

Internal Students

Time: 8.30am – 11.00am

Please bring:

  • The enrolment paperwork provided at the Sixth Form Taster Day (if you attended).

External Students

Time: 11.00am – 2.00pm

Please bring:

  • A copy of your exam results.
  • Proof of identity (either a passport or birth certificate).
  • The enrolment paperwork provided at the Sixth Form Taster Day (if you attended).

What Should I Do If I Cannot Attend Enrolment?

If you are unable to attend enrolment on Thursday 20th August, please email both Ms Harrison at A.Harrison@harrisorpington.org.uk and Ms Humphries at f.humphries@harrisorpington.org.uk on the day.

To enable us to enrol you electronically, please attach:

  • A copy of your exam results slip that your school would have handed you.

  • A copy or photograph of your passport or birth certificate.
  • Any relevant enrolment paperwork.

I Haven't Applied for HAO Sixth Form – Is It Too Late?

No – it is not too late to express an interest in joining Harris Academy Orpington Sixth Form.

If you have not yet applied or attended an interview, please attend our Late Applicant Drop-In Session:

Date: Thursday 20th August
Time: 1.00pm – 2.00pm
Entrance: Tintagel Road

During this session, we will discuss course availability and suitability, subject to places remaining.

Please bring:

  • A copy of your most recent school report.

  • A copy of your exam results slip that your school would have handed you.

  • Proof of identity (either a passport or birth certificate).
