Finally, a reminder: The last day of this term is 19/12/2025, and the Academy will close to all students at 12.45pm. Students will be allowed to wear their own clothes, including Christmas jumpers, and we ask all to bring a £1 donation that will go to our local charity.

Whilst Y11 resume career discussions to support them in planning their future pathways. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to take part in their first HAO Sixth Form taster day - an exciting chance to experience what life could be like with us after GCSEs.

End of Term Highlights - As we approach the final week of term, our focus is on exploring the next steps for not only our students, but those that could join us next year. Banding day was a success as we welcomed prospective students and their parents - with a mop up this week.

How to Find Us

The Academy has excellent links via public transport that makes getting to the Academy easy from Orpington, Bromley, Chislehurst and Sidcup.  The proximity of the Academy to Orpington train station means that many of our students and staff travel from Kent and Central London, too.

BY CAR:

From the M25 take Junction 4 and continue for 0.3 miles.

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A21 heading to London (S.E.)/Bromley/A21/Orpington/A224

Continue on Court Rd./Orpington By-Pass/A224.

At Hewitts Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Court Rd./Orpington By-Pass/A224

After 2.3 miles, turn right onto Avalon Rd.

Then turn left onto Gillmans Rd, turn right onto Tintagel Rd and, finally

Turn left on Ramsden Road, Main Entrance is located between 52-54 Ramsden Road

OR

From London, take the A20 at Eltham Road.

Follow A20 to Sevenoaks Way/A224 in Sidcup to the Sidcup Bypass/Sevenoaks Way Roundabout.

Passing DFS and B&Q, at the Roundabout, take the A224/A223 exit to continue on Sevenoaks Way for 2.3 miles.

Turn left onto Ramsden Road, Main Entrance is located between 52-54 Ramsden Road

  • Bus R9 from Orpington Bus Station (Stop D) (direction Ramsden Estate) Alight at Quilter Road (Stop L) and turn left onto Ramsden Road.
  • Bus 353 from Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve (direction Ramsden Estate/Rye Crescent) Alight at Rye Crescent (Stop N).
  • Bus 654 from Addington Village Interchange (direction Eldred Drive) Alight at Eldred Drive (Stop K)
  • Bus R4 from Augustine Road (direction Princess Royal University Hospital) Alight at Ramsden Road (Stop Q)
  • Bus R4 from Princess Royal University Hospital (direction Augustine Road) Alight at Ramsden Road (Stop C)

From St Mary Cray

  • Bus 51 from Sidcup High Street (direction Orpington Station) Alight High Street/Orpington War Memorial (Stop S) then take R9 (direction Ramsden Estate) to Quilter Road (Stop L)
