Every November, our country comes together to observe Remembrance Day. It’s a time to honour the courage & sacrifice of those who served in the armed forces & gave their lives for our freedom. Today, HAO will join the nation in a one-minute silence to reflect & pay our respects.

Jack Petchey 'Speak Out' Challenge

All students were absolutely brilliant and really willing to get involved with speaking aloud, which some of them find really nerve racking.

At the end of the day all students delivered a speech (max 2 minutes long) on a topic they felt passionate about. Some girls chose to spoke about equality for women, social media and Brexit was a popular one! The representative from Jack Petchey and I then chose a winner and a runner up to attend the Regional Final at Ravensbourne School on the 27th February.

Reserve: Daisy (y10) Everyone Has a Gift

Students who also delivered an excellent speech and made brilliant progress in their presentation skills were Will (y10), Andrew (y10)  and Amie (y10).
