Not for the faint hearted! Year 13 Psychology students got all practical today as they dissected sheep's brains. Why? This was to support their revision of the parts of the brain for the Biopsychology. pic.twitter.com/1AW8mvTfkI

Orpington 100 Books

FHU orpington 100 poster PP“Reading is a passport to countless adventures"

The Orpington 100 is a list of 100 books (see below) that the staff, students and parents believe will inspire students.

Students taking up the challenge will gain hugely from the experience, whether reading for pure pleasure or to broaden their knowledge and literary horizons. Why not take up the challenge yourself and read some or all of the books too, and then discuss them with your child? The staff at the academy will also be reading the books and discussing them with students.

Do you have spare copies?

The library has copies of all the books listed below but if you have additional copies to donate please ask your child to hand it in at reception. Your book will be a very welcome addition to our library.

We’d also welcome your views on the books we have chosen. If you have any comments or thoughts please send them to info@harrisorpington.org.uk.
