Ramfield Experience

Ramfield is our field study and outdoor pursuit centre in South Wales. It is situated in the valley town of Blaenavon just outside Pontypool and most of the building dates back to the 1850's and was until the 1980's the town's infant school. Together with the adjacent junior school and the church of St Peters, the centre we now call Ramfield was very much the nucleus of a thriving Ramfield Main Page Image - August 2016community of iron workers and then coal miners.

The centre offers ideal accommodation for up to 30 students and accompanying staff. This then provides our students with a wide variety of outdoor pursuits. All students engage in challenging team building and individual activities such as bridge building, orienteering, endurance walks and visit a climbing wall centre. Students also build rafts and race across lakes, which develops leadership and initiative skills.
